FORTE FELLOWSHIP PLATFORM

FORTE’s main goals are the promotion and delivery of education and training in Europe.

Fellowship programs are pursued by many senior residents and young orthopaedic surgeons in training to develop skills and knowledge in a specific subspecialty.

There are several high-quality fellowship programs available, but difficulties in understanding the criteria, learning and research opportunities, funding and the wide array of sites where one must search may limit the ability to pursue this kind of training.

FORTE is committed to actively promoting education across Europe.

FORTE feels that a platform that gathers information from different training centers, societies or institutions, will facilitate applications and thus the mobility for European residents and young surgeons. It will also provide a useful service to both those hosting such programs and those wishing to participate in them.

The idea behind this project is to provide information on available Fellowships:

  • Clinical specialty fellowships
  • Short term specialty fellowships
  • Travelling Fellowships from European societies
  • General Orthopedic and Trauma fellowships, with variable length, for younger residents

FORTE is not responsible to help with the application for now. We are providers of information. Any specific questions regarding the fellowships should be dealt with by the designated contact at the organizing body.

Available Grants (from societies, national associations or institutions) and specific educational funds will also be promoted on this platform.

In the future, our goal is to have more and more information available, especially on clinical long-term Fellowships. Partnerships with Specialty Societies and teaching institutions are being pursued.

Assistance with applications and specific educational funding are in the roadmap for the future.

FORTE truly believes this tool to be of paramount importance, since European mobility and the education network are gaining relevance and are becoming increasingly important in our education as residents and young surgeons.

Please notice that this Platform is dynamic, and the information will be updated on a regular basis.

If you feel your training center can be part of this network, please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions, feedback or ideas. If you have the desire to do it, but need help to deliver, we can help!

Looking forward to receiving your information at info@forteortho.org.
